Lworx Pay – Uganda Payment Gateway
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Lworx Pay platform, including our digital wallet, merchant services, and online payment gateway solutions within Uganda.
By registering, accessing, or using Lworx Pay services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Lworx Pay, you confirm that:
You have read and understood these Terms
You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations in Uganda
You accept full responsibility for your use of the platform
Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these Terms and any future updates.
2. Eligibility
To use Lworx Pay:
You must be at least 18 years old or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction
You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date registration information
You must not have been previously suspended or banned from our services
We reserve the right to request identity verification (KYC) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
3. Account Registration & Security
You are responsible for:
Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
Protecting your account from unauthorized access
Immediately notifying us of any suspicious activity
Lworx Pay shall not be liable for losses resulting from your failure to safeguard your account information.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Lworx Pay for:
Fraudulent activities
Money laundering
Terrorism financing
Unauthorized or illegal transactions
Violating Ugandan financial regulations
Any suspicious or unlawful activity may result in immediate suspension and reporting to relevant authorities.
5. Transactions & Fees
All deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and merchant payments are subject to applicable transaction fees.
Fees may vary depending on service type, payment method, or transaction value.
Lworx Pay reserves the right to update its fee structure with prior notice.
By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept all applicable charges.
6. Service Availability
While we strive to provide reliable and uninterrupted Uganda payment gateway services:
We do not guarantee 100% uptime.
Scheduled maintenance or technical issues may cause temporary service interruptions.
We are not liable for losses caused by downtime beyond our reasonable control.
7. Suspension & Termination
Lworx Pay reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account without prior notice if:
You violate these Terms
You engage in suspicious or illegal activities
You provide false or misleading information
We may also freeze funds where required by law or regulatory authorities.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Lworx Pay shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
We are not responsible for losses resulting from third-party payment providers, banks, or system failures beyond our control.
Use of the platform is at your own risk.
9. Regulatory Compliance
Lworx Pay operates as a Uganda-focused digital payment gateway and complies with applicable financial regulations, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements, and digital transaction laws.
Users agree to cooperate with any compliance or verification processes required.
10. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time.
Updated Terms will be posted on our platform, and continued use of Lworx Pay after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Uganda.
